The Wildlife 生物学 degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney integrates a deep study of biology with an emphasis in applied vertebrate ecology. Student learning is directed toward understanding the distribution and abundance of species (ecology), with a special emphasis on mammals, 鸟, reptiles and amphibians (terrestrial vertebrates).
Research experience is a core component of the Wildlife 生物学 program, and students have the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world issues when doing their own independent research 他们的大四.
As a Wildlife 生物学 major, you'll complete the educational requirements to eventually become a Certified Wildlife Biologist (five years of on-the-job experience is also required). Certification is an advantage to obtaining a job as a wildlife professional.
